Binder maiden Moto2 podium

What a performance by South African, brad Binder at the weekend! With the string of injuries that he has sustained in his rookie year of the Moto2 championship, a podium seemed to be a very difficult objective to achieve but after his performance at the Phillip Island round, he is showing massive promise for the last few rounds of the championship. Binder does not have anything to lose at this stage of the season and needs to try everything he can to achieve the results that he knows he is capable of.

2018 will be a year that he will focuss on challenging for the world title. We believe that he has what it takes to finish in the top three next season!

“It’s really been great to get on the podium. Throughout the weekend, from the first lap I went out on track, I felt very good, and I just tried to put in as many laps as possible on the bike. Early in the race I tried to do my best and I was up there with Miguel [Oliveira], but he had a very good pace and didn’t make any mistakes. Then I started fighting with Franco [Morbidelli] and with Nakagami, and the race became really tight. On the last few laps I started to feel stronger and in the end I was able to fight. Getting second position makes me very happy. I want to thank the team for all the work they have been doing this season.”

They head to Sepang this week for the penultimate race of the season. Binder likes the Sepang circuit and so we hope to see another great result from the SA homegrown rider.
