Since Toby Venter took over the Ducati brand in SA, things have been getting steadily better for the red motorcycle manufacturer.
Even in these trying times Ducati has proven to be recession resilient and the Italian firm has posted growth on growth for the last few years. Ducati has now even opened a store in Cape Town with service centres in PE, Durban and Bloemfontein.
So as a thank you to all customers who purchase a Ducati motorcycle, Ducati offer a free family fun day at Kyalami once a year, with this year’s event being recently held on Saturday, 9 December. The cost to attend a normal track day at Kyalami is R3,000 a ticket, so this is a big thank you, offered free of charge to riders and their families. Keeping with the Italian theme, Ducati provide food and fantastic cappuccinos for the day but what impressed me the most was the kiddies play area with supervision.
In a nutshell, Ducati offer an experience that only the owner of Kyalami can do. It’s really high level and fitting to the brand that is Ducati.
On a side note, Ducati globally is also on the move with more models and variations on offer than ever before. The Italian firm now not only play in the superbike market, but in street, cruiser, retro, adventure, cool and touring, so as a whole, a very complete offering to the world of motorcycling.
